USD 480 in Liberal, KS is currently accepting applications for the position of High School Assistant. Cheer Coach

Preference will be given to those candidates who have or are eligible for a current Kansas teaching license (teaching assignment to be determined).

Cheer season is May - March.

• Assist in planning and conducting practices, conditioning, and skill development
• Support the supervision of student-athletes during practices, games, and events
• Help coordinate routines, cheers, and performances
• Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and school spirit
• Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
• Assist with the organization of uniforms, equipment, and program needs
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school staff
• Availability is required in the evenings for practices
• Must be available for home and away football games
• Must be available for varsity basketball games
• Season can be very busy, requiring flexibility and consistent attendance
