TITLE: Classified Employment Specialist
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred
- 3 Years Human Resources experience preferred
- Proficiency with Google, Excel, and HR Information Systems
- Ability to maintain clerical records and prepare reports
- Strengths in communication and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Notary preferred but not required
REPORTS TO: Director of Human Resources
JOB GOAL:
To support the district by efficiently completing ongoing district human resources processes.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pre-hire screening and scheduling
- Processing all onboarding/offboarding employment activities
- Facilitates orientation
- Tracking employee data, digital recordkeeping
- Employment Verifications
- E-verify
- Employee State reporting
- Yearly contracts
- Workman's compensation claims
- Assists in assigning staff into Red Rover- Sub management system
- Assists in managing and maintaining job openings and applicants
- Ensures all jobs are entered into ALIO
- Assists with data entry
- Assists in managing HRIS systems
- Assists in unemployment claims
- Maintain onboarding checklists
- Maintain supplemental salaries and data input
- Assists in retirement pay outs
- Stays abreast of current HR laws and regulations
- *Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS:
Requirements may include prolonged sitting or standing, physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull or push heavy objects or materials, climbing stairs, stooping, bending and reaching; also includes travel.
EVALUATION:
Employment Specialists will be evaluated by the Director of Human Resources in accordance with the Board of Education’s policy.
