QUALIFICATIONS
- Kansas Emergency Substitute Teacher license
- Experience in education, preferred
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Salary $35,000
- Eight hours daily, with 30-minute lunch break
- PLT Instructor will use district’s management system to clock in and out each day
- Report dates, same as USD 480 teachers (currently 178 Days)
- Fringe benefits as determined by the Board of Education
- Evaluation in accordance with district evaluation procedures and state statutes
- Report to designated department chair/teacher
INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANCE AND DUTIES Student Contact Days
- Assist supervising teacher with management tasks including, but not limited to, taking attendance, record-keeping, grading student work, and entering grades into the grade book.
- Manage and supervise students during Personalized Learning Time locations to ensure that all procedures, protocols, and expectations are being followed
- Provide intervention assistance and instruction to students, as needed
- Participate in Professional Learning Communities and instructional coaching opportunities, as designated by supervising teacher and/or building administration
- Serve as a homeroom mentor to an assigned group of students
Work Days
- Assist supervising teacher with management tasks including, but not limited to, taking attendance, record-keeping, grading student work, and entering grades into the grade book.
- Plan and prepare for upcoming lessons and activities, as assigned by supervising teachers and building administration
Professional Development Days
- Participate in professional development sessions and activities as presented
- Utilize personalized professional development time to learn new instructional strategies as well as to plan and prepare for their implementation, accordingly
*Other duties, as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS:
Requirements may include prolonged sitting or standing, physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull or push heavy objects or materials, climbing stairs, stooping, bending and reaching; also includes travel.
EVALUATION:
Will be evaluated by building administration in accordance with the Board of Education’s policy.
