SUBSTITUTE POSITIONS ARE ON CALL AS NEEDED. MAY NOT WORK EVERY DAY.

Reports To: Cafeteria Supervisor

Description: Prepare food items as instructed by the kitchen manager, following established procedures and perform detailed cleaning activities. Set up food in steam tables, and consistently serve required menu items in the portion indicated by manager. Operate a point of service computer. May assist in production tasks. Clean and sanitize all food service areas and equipment, maintain and order supplies, unload and put away stock, take and document food temperatures.  May be assigned other duties/activities as needed.

Conditions of employment: 1 to 8 hours per day depending on assignment.

Qualifications: HS or equivalent, ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English, experience in food safety and serving basics, able to establish and maintain effective work relationships. Positions require the ability to lift 20 to 50 lbs. and stand for up to 8 hours
